blossom belongs to olivia blossom - she is now 8.
she has holidayed at our houses since she was a baby.
her mummy and addy asked us to turn the cottage they bought in charlestown into a pearl.
it is called olivias.
in march 2015, they bought a second cottage.
we finished it in june 2015, it is called it blossom.
blossom is next door to olivias...on the top deck, over looking charlestown harbour, out to sea, and is an absolute beauty. a little cottage in a georgian terrace in charlestown, 100 yards from the sea.
we have decorated it to the exquisitely high standards you would expect from us, antonia and david.
blossom sleeps 5 in maritime bliss in a king
a double and a childs room.
built in the late 1700s, the tiny harbour village of charlestown is largely unchanged and has been granted UNESCO world heritage status.
the beaches, either side of the quay, are an easy stroll. amble over the Quay's lock gate to the Hotel for a crab sarnie on their terrace or stay at home in you wonderfully sunny courtyard garden.
charlestown is approximately 10 minutes from both the eden project and the lost gardens of heligan. it is also ideally situated for visiting Fowey, the maritime museum in Falmouth, the tate at st ives, and padstow, with rick stein's restaurants. the airport at newquay and jamie oliver's restaurant fifteen are a short drive, and it is 10 minutes from the main line train station.
there are three bedrooms, a king, a double and a single. the bedrooms have style, comfort and attention to detail. the sheets are from the white company and are the most fabulous egyptian cotton percale (the duvet, pillows and towels are all from the white company too). and there are hair dryers in both master bedrooms.
the slate floored kitchen has all the modern appliances you would expect, a gas hob, an electric oven, a fridge, a microwave, a dishwasher, WiFi and hopefully everything else you might need.
the washing machine and tumble dryer are in the utility cupboard, and the iron and ironing board are in the cupboard under the stairs.
you can dine in cosy candlelight at the table in the sitting room, warmed by the wood burner and catch the sun rising with an alfresco breakfast in the front garden.
the oak floored sitting room has a pair of sofas beside the wood burner and the television is smart, very !
the bathroom is in the modern extension, so it seemed appropriate to kit it out appropriately, with a bath and a shower and the softest towels to wrap up in after a good long soak.
there are all sorts of things you might like to use if you are bringing preschool kids to Blossom such as a buggy, socket covers, anti door slammers, a baby monitor, a steriliser, a changing mat, stair gates, a high chair, a play mat, a travel cot with sheets and waterproof mattress protectors, plates and bowls, tumblers, knives, forks and spoons, a potty, a baby bath and a hand held food whizzer.
we do not allow animals, nor smoking.
parking is easy and free.
if you would like to bring friends, parents or parents in law, but want to give them (and you ! ) a bit of space, the studio is available for short stays all year round and is just down the road.
our cottages are wonderfully close to each other
but not so close you can't breathe
and we can sleep up to 24.
do let us know if you'd like some great grub when you arrive, during your stay or the night you leave, and maybe a brilliant breakfast box for your first morning?
if you'd like our wonderful therapist to visit for some
spa at home just send us an email.
